Photos shooting - Set 1

Dear fans,

I had my first session of photos shooting yesterday with my sister and now personal photograph. she's good and now how to explain to me how to move and what to do. Of course, we still both learning from our perspective and that's why it is so fun to be partner in this fabulous experience. DJ FYB is an entity but it is also a big project that involve participation from more than just me!

They announced a snow storm yesterday, for late in the evening but I decided to not take a chance and when my siste arrived, I propose to drive right away to a specific spot I had in mind. The first spot was the corridor under the "Caisse du dépot" and "Palais des congrès". This corridor has very modern and interesting "décor". I can tell you that I was a bit confuse for the first photos. Some people was passing sometime and I had to avoid their look to stay concentrated - but I was determine to do that and I knew I had to play a bit with my nerves. Don't forget that my force is the music, not the photos!!! But I think it was not so bad at the end!!! For those first photos, I weared a kind of cowboy shirt with Harley-Davidson boots.

Than we went for couple "intello" photos (as I called it). I went change my clothing in a washroom for a more "intellectual" look and put my glasses. I took couple photos on one of the brown leather sofa inside the open area of the "Caisse du dépot". But after couple minutes of shooting, a security guard came to us to ask if we had an authorisation to do this - to do the shooting. We replied that it was "for a school project" (I anticipated this before and told my sister that it's gonna be our reply if somebody ask). She told us that it is not possible to do this. Just to do a parenthesis here: the "Caisse de dépot" is a building we pay with our taxes so I guess everybody can have the rights to use some of the "décor" to inspirate a photos shooting! No?

Anyway, we were not there to fight and packed our stuff right then to go back to the corridor and went more under the "Palais des congrès" which has an interesting brick/cement wall with an adjacent yellow wall. We took couple photos there and went upstair to the "Palais des congrès" to make few very artistic shots inspired by my sister-photograph where I was shooted the other side of a blur window. It is effectivaly very artistic as it is very difficult to recognize who is it but if put in a certain context; i guess it can be very nice!

Time to lunch (in the middle of the afternoon!), I though the Shed Café were a good place to eat, drink and maybe take few shots as well and it was! I asked the waitress when she took our order if it was alrigh to take some photos and whe replied "no problem". A bit after she asked why we are taking some photos and it was funny trying finding the right words without being too much but giving enough to understand the context. I guess I was searching in my mind too much 'cause it is my siste who responded to her question: "we are taking photos of him because he is doing music and he needs photos for marketing". Good cue sister!

Than we went back to my home where we ended the session with some last shoots!

It was a very-very good first session where I learn how to work closely with my sister; I learn also to develop tricks with "pose" while we don't want a "fashion style", neither a "search style" but something more artistic and - if possible - close to what is "music". So I learn that it is much more difficult to find the right "pose", light, "décor" and attitude. But we definitaly had a lot of fun and we will renew this with another session during the Holidays for sure! The next photos shoot might be outside!!! ;-))

I hope you appreciates the efforts and let me know if you have any comments!

Here is a few photos we took:
